Department Goals
Software is meant to abstract complex technology for use of everyone. Our motive for the project was the same.
There is no shortage of datasets for ocean temperatures but there exists a dearth of understanding amongst the people and policy makers about how radically our oceans are changing. So much as to pull out of Paris Climate Accord.
We aim to turn data into information and eventually knowledge our changing oceans accessible and understandable to everyone. This is done through modern geomapping frameworks to visualize the temperature changes across timelines.
Resultantly, we will democratize datasets, our own and those sourced from established agencies, to raise awareness and public discourse about marine health and climate change.
